Zeroth Law of Temperature

The Zeroth law of Temperature states that

"Heat flows from one source to an other only if there is a temperature difference between the two.
Two systems are in thermal equilibrium if they are at same temperature."

The law is important for the mathematical formulation of thermodynamics where the relation of thermal equilibrium is the basis for an equivalence relation.

1st Law of Thermodynamics

The First Law of Thermodynamics simply states that energy can be neither created nor destroyed (conservation of energy). Thus power generation processes and energy sources actually involve conversion of energy from one form to another, rather than creation of energy from nothing.

Entropy and disorder.

The Ideal Gas Law

The relationship between volume, pressure, temperature and quantity of a gas, including definition of gas density.

Third Law of Thermodynamics

The entropy of a substance is zero if the absolute temperature is zero.
