Commissioning
Commissioning is methodical procedures and methods for documenting and testing performance of a technical systems to verify that the system operates in conformity with the design intent.
Commissioning includes
- testing
- adjusting
- balancing
- documentation of design requirements and assumptions
- documentation of design intent used by contractors
- documentation of design intent used by owners and users - operators
- documentation of function performance testing
- documentation of adjusting to meet required capability
The purpose of commissioning is to achieve a fully functional fine tuned system.
